Mzanzi media personality cum singer Somizi has criticized Big Zulu’s ‘Imali Eningi’ song by saying the song does not accommodate everyone but only the poor who are now aspiring to get rich.
According to the Daily Suns, the singer was speaking during the KZN entertainment awards in which he was co-host w ith Pearl Thusi. The singer criticized Big Zulu’s top-charting ‘Imali Eningi’ song as a song made for the poor who are aspiring to have large sums of money.
Somizi claimed he already has a large sum of money so cannot relate to the song. He further revealed he likes to jump on the #DuduzaneChallenge but he can’t do it with the usual song since it does not accommodate him as a rich person.
The song is dividing us who have money and those who don’t have money who want to have it as the song says.
The song does not relate to me at all and I feel left behind because I also like to be part of Duduzane Zuma’s famous walk challenge.
I challenge Mzansi artists to write the song that accommodates all of us and not separate us with our financial status. I challenge Big Zulu, Sjava, and others to write the song that will accommodate us all, he said.
