JAMB CBT Accredited Centres for 2021 UTME Registration | SEE Full List

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has released the updated list of approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centres for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Examination (UTME).

The list released also contains information on the blacklisted CBT centres, who have gone contrary to JAMB instructions. Please continue reading, and find the PDF list at the bottom of this post.

Over 700 centres have been approved and listed by JAMB for the conduct of the 2021 UTME. The list has been segmented state by state to enable you easily check and spot the status of your centre. From the document, only centres typed in red are blacklisted.

Even if your selected CBT centre has been blacklisted, be rest assured that JAMB will relocate you to other centres close to you. This relocation should be reflected when you go to reprint your JAMB Exam Slip. The date for JAMB exam slip reprinting will be announced before the commencement of exams on 14th March.

Earlier: JAMB Suspends 47 CBT Centres, Anambra and Rivers State Top the List

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has published the names of 47 Computer-Based Test Centres suspended ahead of the March 14 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination. It was noted that Rivers and Anambra state have the highest number of suspended CBT centres with eight centres each.

It was reported that the 47 centres were suspended for registration infractions, extortion of candidates directly or through a proxy, technical deficiency through third-party examination, and inability to produce JAMB security equipment in their care.

According to the breakdown by the board, eight centres were suspended apiece in Rivers and Anambra states; five apiece in Nasarawa and Delta; four in Bayelsa, and two apiece in Katsina, Kwara and Lagos states.

Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Adamawa and Niger had one CBT centre for each suspended. It was also gathered that the centre owners and operators have been handed over to the security agencies.”

Meanwhile, the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has warned CBT centres against collecting the candidates’ passwords or determining their passwords for them at the point of registration.

The registrar said it was improper for the CBT centres to also retain the forms filled by candidates which contained vital data.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the list of approved and accredited JAMB CBT Centres for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).  Prospective candidates are to note that UTME/DE registration can only be done at accredited centres nationwide. Do not use a Cybercafe!

Earlier: JAMB Accredits 650 CBT Centres, Concludes Arrangements For Sales of UTME/DE Form

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that over 650 Computer Based Test, centres have been accredited so far for the upcoming 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The board had earlier announced that the sales of its registration documents from Monday, January 13, to Monday, February 17 while an optional mock examination for candidates is scheduled for February 18.

According to JAMB’s Head, Media, and Information Dr Fabian Benjamin, arrangements for the commencement of the sales of the documents nationwide had been concluded and logistics have been put in place to ensure a smooth process.

Dr Fabian also stated that mechanisms are in place to address any challenge or challenges that may arise before, during and even after the examination.

He emphasized that there is no going back on the use of the National Identification Number, for the acquisition of the registration documents by prospective candidates.

He urged candidates seeking to sit for this year’s UTME and who are yet to acquire the NIN to intensify efforts to do so in order to participate in the examination and urged them to ensure they seek advice from officials of the board regarding the UTME registration.

He added that the sales of Direct Entry forms closes the same day as the UTME forms and there will be no extension.

Earlier: JAMB Suspends Some CBT Centres from Participating in 2021

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in its weekly bulletin publicized the suspension of 49 CBT centres from participating in the ongoing exercise. The suspended centres which are spread across the country were suspended for irregularities that could hinder the stable running of the examination.

30 of these exam centres were suspended during the start of the exam on April 11, while the other 19 were disapproved during the registration’s exercise.
